As much as I have my disagreements with the direction of the PSUV and Chavez, I don't think we should ignore (as it appears we have, based on a quick search) the massive emphasis that this movement puts on art and culture, especially music. It's somewhat reminiscent of the Nueva Cancion movement that blossomed in Chile during the Allende years, and it would be worthwhile to discuss the role music plays in the revolutionary process and how that has changed over time. Much of this music is made available for free downloads through the PSUV and there seem to be very regular assemblies that are part music and part politics, with the two intertwining significantly.

Here are a few others from this guy Amilcar Briceņo who's becoming better known in that scene. Nice fucking guy, I hit him up on Facebook and asked him where I could get his music and he emailed me every song off both of his albums!!!

This one is about the children of Iraq:

This is a song dedicated to Hugo Chavez. It's title refers to the February '92 popular coup Chavez led and the failed April '02 coup attempt against him.
