Hey everyone, new here, thought i would introduce myself to you all.

I have always been a Maoist since i got into politics but i am starting to see anarchism as the way forward, though i still am unsure of how practical totally abolishing the stae instead of creating a revolutionary one will be.

Anyway hope i see you on the forum.

Anarchism is a great idea, and we would have lived in a communist world had anarchism been practical, but the problem is that it is not.

It isn't practical. A truly democratic state will have a natural tendency toward anarchy anyway.

Communism = FAILED
Fascism = FAILED
Capitalism = FAILING
Anarchism = ?

“I’d rather vote for something
I want and not get it, than vote
for something I don’t want,
and get it.”

Well, there hasnt been any Communist States before. Technically they have all been some form of Socialism.

Let me fix that for you:

Communism = betrayed by revisionists and greedy bureaucrats.
Fascism = head blown off
Capitalism = FAILING
Anarchism = FAILED

how many truly democratic socialist states do you know of

Gee, I wonder if that's mainly due to some outside influence or they're that way for fun...

I thought it was "deformed worker's states."

I thought it was "deformed worker's states."

Nope. Degenerated Worker's State is the correct term to describe the USSR and such places in Trotskyist theory, IIRC.

"betrayed by revisionists and greedy bureaucrats" and what's to stop that from happening again "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely"

Anarchism = FAILED
what's your bassist for this :confused:

Don't be an idiot. There has never been a stateless society, thus it was socialism.

Use your imagination.

I thought it was "deformed worker's states."

In Trotskyist political theory, deformed workers' states are states where the bourgeoisie has been overthrown through social revolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourgeoisie), the industrial means of production have been largely nationalized bringing benefits to the working class, but where the working has never held political power.

Modern examples considered by most Trotskyists as deformed workers states are: Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam and The People's Republic of China.

He's been banned for supposed anti-semitism. Give me the news instead - why has Anarchism been a failure?
