Wierd place to ask I know, but I'm looking to apply for another job and I'm finding a lot of the other cleaning jobs are asking for an enhanced disclosure from me. I usualy avoid these jobs because I got myself into trouble when I was in my teens.

Just wondering what goes on an enhanced disclosure really. Not been caught by the police for anything for a good 8 years now and the last thing was only a final warning, although I did get put in a young offenders thingie for it for several months. Just wondering if I should have a clean record by now or not.

If not, then I might as well forget applying to be honest.

I should point out too that I havent been arrested since 2002 either, although I have had a few knocks on the door through the years, but it was clear that they didnt have enough evidence to arrest.

I am worried about some of the stuff that might show up though because one of them was for theft and us cleaners have a bad enough reputition as it is.

I looked it up online and based on what I read it goes all the way back and covers your entire criminal history. I can't be sure though as I'm an American. :P

i think it depends on what you have on your record, i think that cautions last for 5 years and convictions in court for ten, but im not sure, and also i think it is up to the police what things they report.
If you have a crb check then you get sent a copy so that might be the easiest way to find out.
