Best, I don't know, facial hair isn't so popular anymore, so it isn't a good idea to romanticize it. All of them changed their hair/facial hair styles a lot too.

Worst is a three-way tie between Budyonny, Radek, and the hitler moustaches that Soviet generals adopted before and during the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact years.

I've always been a fan of Ho-Chi-Minh's, I have to say. His style of goatee and tashe complement his face shape as well. I like this picture of him, he's having a great time;

I've always loved this picture. I have no idea what the context is, but his face and his stance are like he's saying, "Hey guys, I found socialism in this cave! C'mon!"

There was a beard pagent near me a while back. Quite a lot of guys looked like him, but for sheer creativity I think the prize should have gone to this guy I saw who had fashioned his tasche into a windmill.
