I do indeed. I remember you as TAKN. I think I need a name change too, as my current one is a bit too obvious.
Yeah, we're all getting older...do you feel your political views have changed over that period? I've been completely apolitical for the last few years and it's only now that I've begun to be more active again. I think I used to be a real brat on these boards! Apologies to all those I offended, you were debating a hormonal 16 year old :P

Name change can be requested here - http://www.revleft.com/vb/name-change-requests-t111645/index.html (if you do change it, remember to keep your old username in your signature for two weeks).
As for avatar, that's available at a lot of cinemas.:p
Yeah, that was bad. Anyway, go to User CP in the top left corner, go down the left hand column and to "edit avatar".

Baldness doesn't really occur in my family. Many of my older male relatives kept most of their hair well into their 70s, and most of those retained dark hair into their 60s.

Both. It appears to be the same for my parent's generation of the family as well.

I joined when I was a freshman in high school and now I'm a freshman and college.
And there are definitely a few posts I'd really like to have back from my younger days on this forum. There really are a few things that make me cringe.
And I'm happy to say my views have been changing since I came to this site and still haven't stopped.

It started as a small discussion forum which was part of the Che-Lives site in 2001. That's why we still have the Che forum in History.

I remember when the site was still che-lives, I believe I had an account, can't remember exactly. Had some Maoist sympathies, resented the bannings of all the third-worldists, and wound up on a rival site called "Ernesto-Guevara" where I ended up becoming a Trotskyist out of disgust, and was involved in some epic battles against the likes of Mazdak and Ixabert.. anyone familiar with them? ah, those were the days

I did visit ernesto-guevara at some point but that was so long a go -- much before I started posting on Revleft -- that I don't remember just about anything about it. The name Mazdak rings a bell, might have seen some posts by him but never talked to him myself.
The second (I think) offshoot of Revleft I remember better: Novel Gentry and the Rebel Alliance, and the forums they created, right before I joined here. They opposed the CC as 'elitist' and wanted to create some kind of democratic internet utopia-land here.
Most of them were banned as they refused to accept that it wasn't going to happen, and then they went off and started that new forum. It had like 10 posts a week.
These events took place between 2005-07 or so. I think RA is gone nowadays.

I was actually thinking about Mazdak recently! I was discussing weird Stalinists and Stalinist groups and he came to mind but more so because as I remember, he bred cockroaches which I'm terrified of.
Was it just Third Worldists that were banned? I thought it was all Stalinists or Stalin kiddies as they were known at the time.

Jorge Miguel was the owner of E-G.com for a period.
RA was the second offshoot though I think there was an offshoot from E-G itself at one point. There was a whole period where you couldn't link to Rebel Alliance.
Good times.

Ixabert also posted extensively on Soviet-Empire and PoFo. What a fucking nutter. He had this frequently mocked posting style where he would answer every other paragraph with the word "False" before beginning his refutation.

The reason E-G shut down is because I dominated all the threads in a 12-hour blitz session and it was taken down for good the same day, before anyone could read my arguments. A major coincidence maybe.
Oh shit I remember that.. False! Funniest was when he said that the only sexual fantasy he could masturbate to was being beaten by black police officers. Definitely an interesting case. Wonder what he's doing now (reading this and planning to kill me lol.) Seriously Ixa dont kill me for that. IXA, WHY DO YOU NEED ME TO DIE? hahaha, oh, i really miss him. the reason Ixabert hates me is, he had a thread where he was like "I want to come up with a new ideology, my new party will be nationally based, but socialist, and I don't want to call it national-socialism of course." So I suggested "social-nationalism" as a joke, but he adopted it and started toting himself as a Social-Nationalist.. then a couple weeks after that he called me a "Trotskyite" and other names and threatened to send assassins after me so I replied "Please. I named your fucking ideology dude." but he deleted the original thread where I had suggested it, and said "what? i came up with this name myself" oh man.. only Ixabert! Soon after that he wrote on his blog/hitlist, "I used to think all Trots were assholes except _______. But now he is an asshole too." xD
Yeah, you're right, they banned all Stalinists IIRC, not just the extreme ones. That's why me and some folks left here and went to EG (i personally never posted here though i think).. we thought it was unprincipled and hypocritical to purge Stalinists :P. All they did once we joined their forum was threaten to kill us though, hahaha. but they didn't ban the trotskyist minority faction, respect for that. I think they were mostly good communists, just with some issues to work out.
ElijahCraig.. that name rings a bell. Wasn't he briefly Trotskyist or anarchist? Oh shit, wasn't he the same person as "JJoe" or whatever? JJoe was really bad. Every post had something to do with "the Jews"

I don't know if we has JJoe. I just remember being quite a funny guy. He liked to be contraversial for the sake of pissing people off so I wouldn't be surprised if he kept talking about "the Jews".
Does anyone remember Yuri Andropov and Michael de Panama? After an argument over Stalinism between the two, Yuri came back to the thread to tell Michael that he was so angry with Michael's comments against Stalin that he'd put his fist through a wall and was now pissed off that he had to pay for it. I can't find the exact quote but it was hilarious at the time.
I'd forgotten about Ixa's "False"! IIRC, Ixa's actually quite young, isn't he? Probably only 19 or 20 now?
And you wish that was the reason that E-G was shut down! There are far more sinister workings on that one.
The original S-E project was quite interesting even if it was very stereotypical lefty internet geekyness. It always reminds of how alliances in Cybernations have developed.

When I still saw Ixa post on SE regularly (around 2005), I believe he was 17 or so. So yes, he was rather young, really. On SE, his main obsession was the DPRK, on PoFo he went more overboard with the fascist shit. The funny thing is that Ixa had a gaggle of "followers" on SE who adopted his argumentation, posting style, DPRK obsession, etc.
I wasn't around to see the original SE project for most of its existence. After that ended, a similar micronation, Novaya Zemlya, was started, but it never really took off. It was pretty funny though. Still, such projects obviously never grew very much, because in the end, they were purely forum-based, and didn't affect anything. At least in Cybernations, a "war" would affect your imaginary infra and land...
EDIT: before I forget, towards the end ("the end" being when even SE banned him), Ixabert also started developing a rather frightening pre-occupation with little boys...

I'm roughly the same age as Ixa so I don't feel bad about anything I said to him. Still, I should have brushed off the death threats, they were just his cute little way of ending paragraphs. I would apologize for the social-nationalism thing if I ever run into him again. ^^
I remember some Nazi lady gave him an extensive psychoevaluation on the Phora and said he was the most disturbed little boy ever to grace judeobolshevism. I guess that's a point for our Ixa!
When I get photoshop working again, I'm going to make him that Skulls&Nationalists signature as a tribute to the most famous, talked about troll on the internets.. even if he is probably evolved to a tame, run-of-the-mill fascist by now.

I remember that place being spammed with interracial porn to piss of the fascists at one point.
