Don't know if it's the best, but it's definitely very enjoyable. Haven't played in ages though. We should have a game sometime.

You've been lied to.
Company of Heroes is indeed the greatest RTS of all time.

Hands down, absofuckinglutely. It's really a bummer though that games stopped getting any better after it came out. It's a pretty old game now.

Oh well, we'll see about it then. I rarely ever played it in multiplayer either, though I did buy it. I once challenged someone from a forum (not sure if it was Revleft), and I kicked his ass. We played on a map with lots of small islands; he picked Germany and I went with England, so obviously, naval power was very helpful.

Company of Heroes is my second favorite strategy game. then after that, Hearts of Iron 3.
i would suggest trying out the Operation Market Garden mod that some people made for that game. hands down most complete mod and it is truly intense when you play it.
but, CoH is RTT so, your coment is/was invalid.

i would get my ass kicked on a naval map. in almost all games, i avoid naval combat. im not really best at balancing navies.
but i love to micromanage land battles. especially in RoN and that translates easily into CoH :D
i usually play as the russians though because of good late infantry and late armor.

It's a bunch of bullshit eh? The thing is RTTs are where the only innovation is nowadays - I haven't seen any good RTSs in ages.
I think it's part of the systematic dumbing down of video games used to dumb down the proletariat.

personally i think RTTs are great. its micromanagement heaven. i really like to manage battles.
also, i just beat the US as the Soviet Union in the Cold War campaign on tough. feels really good man. and for once i didnt cheat through the entire campaign.
I downloaded this game as a result of this thread and I managed to spend a whopping 8 hours on it. Screw you for making me look like a lazy-ass nerd
