It is the cheapest, most widespread, most powerful media. You do not have to be physically present. It is relatively cheap compared to other media. It engages the readers more critically. It allows for more access to evidence and engages the readers for a longer period of time. It is capable of great centralization. It is technologically advanced.
The libertarians have made good use of the internet. Even the fascists are making as much use of the internet as possible. To ignore the internet, or not base primary propaganda plans on it is Luddite.

People also need to spend time in the community face to face in a positive manner as happened in CA with the peak oil movement.
We do need to be focusing on spreading propaganda online more, when we're online, instead of arguing amongst ourselves. We need to organize and take part in direct and calculated propaganda on various forums. At least 20 of us should focus on one specific forum at a time. Nothing agressive, perhaps even conversate amongst ourselves on various forums. Make our views public but in a freindly non confrontational manner. Set up some boundaries/rules for ourselves when spreading propaganda so as not to come off aggressive or overbearing. We need to be open but subversive.
<br> We've dropped the ball during this current economic crisis. There should have been tens of thousands of us organizing in the community and online but it simply didnt happen. Is it too late?

What about countries where like 95% of the population does not have access to the internet ?

Get out in the community. I think it would be better if we did that where internet access is common as well but we should stop spending so much time arguing amongst ourselves when we are online. RevLeft and other forums are good for new people to learn the basics but the sectarian divisions on here are counterrevolutionary. Division amongst the working class especially during time of capitalist crisis is absurd.
Interaction online seems to bring out the worst in people. RevLeft is not exempt. The lack of solidarity on this forum is making me loose steam as it's simply a microcosm of the bigger problem within our community. We can't even show solidarity amongst ourselves how are we going to create a solidified worker movement?
Our no 1 goal should be solidarity and propaganda. It's good to have discussions to formulate what we all have in common but at a certain point it becomes a ego driven pseudo intellectual counter productive mess.

we certainly shouldn't avoid the internet, but it shouldn't be a primary focus either. how can you build anything of substance on the internet? face to face human interaction is necessary.
