Hey commieBastard,

I've been reading the stuff you just posted... your actually quite good. Do you go to poetry readings and stuff?

I used to write alot of poetry myself... but am mostly into writing fiction, and historical essays. I go to poetry readings now and then, so have an appreciation for it.

Nope, never been to a poetry reading in my life. To tell the truth, i havent read much poetry other than my own.
those that i wrote just then (except rainin all the time & double rum and coke) were inspired by reading some poems by Bukowski which Malte gave me a link to.

double rum and cola was inspired by my deep desire at the time (which still persists) for a double rum and coke.
Rainin all the time was inspired by a conversation i had with an italian communist, in which he said he liked the UK, and i listed out some reasons why i didnt like the UK, which he said sounded poetic... so i made a poem about how much i hate the UK :)

reading back over them my favourite out of that batch is probably glass egg, which sums up a hell of a lot of my sentiments...
and also the fragility i feel in life...

god i need that double rum and cola...

Well... ideas flow easier with free verse... and it's the style most used by poets today. Actually... The style was made popular be a poet from Long Island New York... Walt Whitman. His lifes work... Leaves of Grass contains some great works.

a mate of mine has a band, he is making me write lyrics for him now :P

i came out screamin,
ran into the hordes,
of bastards that were teamin,
tore throughy with swords,
and i was screamin,
my limbs were flailin,
my teeth were gnashin,
i came for some twat-boy-bashin,
so out o my way,
cos i came out screamin,
running out of my mother's womb,
came out screamin,
from that fucked up tomb.

Now though, now i return,
ive stopped my screamin,
stopped my protest,
just goin now,
goin for a rest,
my arms are tired,
my minds a mess,
no more emotions fired,
so now i return to my shallow grave,
cos theres no one left,
yeah, no one left there to save,
no one ever there to save,
nothin but sinners as far to see,
so im goin now, back to my hole,
maybe ill do some searchin,
searchin for my soul,
but i sure as hell know,
ill be havin me some rest,
cos i aint got the energy,
yeah, no energy left, to protest.

Your work is good commie bastard, nice to read something that seems to have come straight from a person's heart.

They are quite Artsy and thought-provoking

well, i have no idea how you'd go about making money from them...
except maybe making a book, but i doubt that either a. publishers would take me seriously, or b. they would sell...
