Hey Im not talking about the Unrealistic shambling corpses of the undead Im talking about a realistic threat from nations with Biological weapons programs working to weaponize viruses like Rabies, Mad Cow, ebola etc
To make a reali life RAGE type virus or the Virus from the Film QUARANTINE or the Green Flu from Left 4 Dead minus the special infected.
I have been looking at a few things. The Arazona Strain, a type of rabies that evolved and jumped from Bats to be able to spread through the Skunk Population and then Evolved again to become contageious and spread through the Fox Population. Usually if a rabid bat was to infect another animal the newly infected animal is a dead end host and will die shortly after but these very rapid mutation of the Arizona Strain mean its able to survive in skunks and Fox's like it does in Bats, All we need is one more evolutionary jump and it will become Contageious amougst Humans.....
Also if such a virus was ever released either by Natural evolution of Rabies, A Biological weapons attack by Bioterrorists or by a government incident and it infected a small area would it be more beneficial to cover it up to stop a mass panic. How can you even tell a population that such a virus exists, the people would go crazy with panic. So I think Senario's like the one in the Film Quarantine where the building was sealed and the media covered it up would be a realistic senario and I feel its probably already happened more then once around the world
In China for the second time in a decade they did a mass slaughter of over 50,000 dogs to help stop a rabies outbreak in the area even though many of the dogs were family pets and had been immunised or not infected but the Chinese were so heavy handed in the matter, could it of been a cover up?
Also another suspicious incident in China was the Quarantine of a small town of 10,000 inhabitants north west of Beijing, No one was allowed in or out and the media reported a few deaths to a highly contageious Pnumonic Plague. Could that of been a coverup?
Anyway what better way to take over a country then to eliminate most of the population with a super charged rabies virus, wait for the infected to die out of dehydration and starvation/malnourishment and then Move in using the excuse to "Help repopulate and restore order" and your saviour of a military would take control of the traumatised survivors in a largly unpopulated nation with all its natural resources in tact, Like in 28 weeks later there really was no british government it was the US military calling all the shots so it might be the warfare of the future?
Also there was a documentary on about this man who travelled to all the nations that have names that end in "Stan" like Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan etc and in one of the scenes he visited this bunker in the middle of no where that did research on biological weapons and anthrax, small pox and disease research etc and there was this one room with all these guinea pigs roaming around and the only thing stopping them from getting out the door was a plank of wood so they wouldnt get over it...... so a plank of wood was the only thing stopping guinea pigs from escaping
Anyway I think about this stuff alot do you think its possable and if so how would you prepare?
