Comrade Lucifer

I'm Comrade Lucifer (evidently). The name is based on the fictional biblical character, and inspired partly by the writings of Bakunin, and partly because I enjoy the idea of rebelling against totalitarian dictators.
I live in Scotland. There is leftism - the local newspaper was founded on radical principles in the 70s (it was recently brought into worker-ownership) - and things are constantly being bought up by the community. One thing I take issue with is the prominence of the church, and religious school assemblies - but people tend to be tolerant even of evil atheists such as myself.
I am an anarchist - namely, an anarcho-syndicalist. Believe it or not, I actually prefer the Wobblies to the IWA, though. This said, I do have tendencies toward anarcho-communism and, to a lesser extent, anarcha-feminism (despite being male). My influences include Mikhail Bakunin, Errico Malatesta, Emma Goldman and Rudolf Rocker.
Originally, I was on the centre-left. But I moved to the left after being disillusioned with the shuffling to the right of the Labour Party. I became a supporter of the SSP, taking up republicanism and certain other policies for good. I jumped further left. For a while, I was a Trotskyist, but soon took a more stolid Marxist perspective, disliking the idea of an intellectual Vanguard (Blanquism). I jumped further left to anarcho-communism but moved quite quickly to anarcho-syndicalism, though retaining certain ideas.
This is where I am now. I can't imagine myself changing my mind again, but it's certainly happened before. The thread title is a reference to the A/S flag, in case anyone was wondering.
Solidarity, comrades.
