I know they've became quite popular recently but everytime I see them and their website, etc. they seem to hav different views.
So what are their major policies and what is their reason for leaving the EU.
I understand that they lie between the Tories and the BNP - please enlighten me further.
Cheers

They're raving loonies. To be honest, I don't at all have a clue why anyone takes them seriously, but apparently a lot of folks do. I suppose that's what the 3 main parties will do; people get fed up off their petty arguments between each other, public spending cuts and the 2.46 million unemployed so join forces with the likes of UKIP and the BNP. Anyway, their main reason for entering politics is euroscepticism, and they're pretty weak on everything else. Withdrawal from of the UK from the EU is their only substantial policy. What is simply laughable about UKIP is that, as of the 2004 election, they have 12 MEPs, whilst gaining 16% of the vote in that general election. Oh and their economic policy is neoliberal, like every other main party.

They are generally more pro-free market than the Conservative Party (UK). Having said that, they are also very nationalist too.

They're unlike continental right-populists, who like the BNP at least detest neoliberalism.

They are often called "the middle class BNP" which has a lot of truth to it. Their policy list is just what you would expect from a right wing party. Pro-Business, anti-immigration, anti-trade unions, anti-welfare state and so on.

That's exactly what I said before, they literally left the conservative party to form their own thing.

The right-wing of the conservative party is calling for a "british tea party" which would exactly be this: a united coalition of UKIP, the right-wing Cons and some other assorted weirdo right-wing idiots from various parties including (probably without them knowing) BNP supporters.

Be annoyed, be very annoyed with these utter shitters.

Seemingly launched by the strike breaking, apartheid appeasing Freedom Association, lovely.
