i refuse to make it a music thread because i think there is more to bm than listing bands.

but seriously, my best black metal memory is driving through a forest during a blizzard in northern michigan listening to burzum.

thats legit.
they screened some bm documentary in the university. there was a just one girl watching it lol. and half of the people were my friends who are either punx or hipsters. so when there was really ridiculous shit, like the photo of varg with a battle mace, we laughed pretty hard and then some of the black coffee black metal real 2dmax norweigan burzumites just gave us a really awful look as if we committed sacrilege.
varg is very smart and lucid. shame he is murderous boneheaded racist scumbag though

My best BM memory was when I snogged with a Finnish girl to the tunes of Borknagar.

haha shit this made me remember that i once slept with my ex listening to ulver's weird acoustic record from their black metal trilogy. i think that might be a better black metal memory, even though it was kind of ridiculous.

On a serious note,
I barely had much interactions with people who were very serious about black metal (except...like one kid).

I love black metal, but it is hard to get into the scene when it has been recently so filled with National Socialist filth.

I'm not black metal at all, but I did have a brief conversation about regular metal with a guy who was really black metal.
That conversation was the only time I've ever used "Hail Satan" as a goodbye. And then I laughed really hard.

I have seriously never met a black metal fan in person. I guess that's what happens when you live in a place where people wear flip flops unironically

Oh, yes. Forgot you live in our swamp. Why so many people wear sandals so often is beyond me. I wear them only when I go to the beach or are to lazy to put on real shoes.

nope. i am diggin them.
the thing why i think i like black metal is while a vehemently disagree with most of the ideas they had, all the people who started dat shit were extremely angry serious and misanthropic

My favorite BM moment was me walking through a dark wood with Celtic Frost playing loud an' proud in my headphones. Sad part was, it was in a florida forest.

I haven't listened to them for a while, I should probably get to that soon. Good band.
