Comrades,
I am currently studying documentary film at Columbia College Chicago. At the moment I am working on a short documentary about the Maobadi and what is going on in Nepal for one of my classes and to post on the Internet. The film will give a short history of the revolution in Nepal and then use interviews to discuss what is going on now, possible outcomes, and Nepal’s significance. I want to show the relevance of revolutionary Marxism through what is going on in Nepal as well as inspire people to actively work to create a better world.
I am asking if anyone has any photos or video footage from Nepal that I can get permission to use for my documentary, or if anyone could help point me to where I can get such footage. This film is for school and to share on the Internet. I am seeking footage that I have permission to use because it legally allows me to post on the Internet, show at festivals, etc. People need to know about what is going on in Nepal. I am making sure I can spread this film as widely as I can without running into trouble with copyright laws. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.
Solidarity,
-Timo
