So I got back in touch with a woman I knew in high school and we started dating. Things are great with her we're almost exactly the same people(which I thought I'd always hate, but it's great), she's beautiful, we play games together, she likes football like I do, etc. She's also from the south side(Chicago) too and we come from the same background. She's been a tomboy her whole life and has always been one of the guys and everything, which is great because she's my best friend as well as a lover. Then comes the bad news..
Damn near every male friend she has eventually comes out confessing their love for her eventually. And I don't know if she's naive or what, but most of the guys that have done this I've seen coming from miles away, but didn't say anything at first in order to not come off as some possessive, jealous, insecure prick. But wow, now it's as if I'm ignoring reality all together. Now, I'm not usually a jealous person at all. In fact, my initial indifference to her interactions with other men used to bother her and make her think I don't care. Well now I care and she thinks it's sooper-cute and everything but I can't help but wanna inflict great bodily harm on these so called "friends" of her's.
Wouldn't it be best to marry a woman who you're friends with anyway?

If you want it to last, yes.

No, she's just grown accustomed to it. As will you, eventually. She probably shares the same distaste for guys pretending to be her friend just to get close to her that you do, the difference is that yours is tinged with jealousy and possessiveness which you will come to outgrow as your relationship matures. But regardless of that it will always be irritating and kind of gross. Congratulations, you now understand the kind of shit women need to put up with a little bit better.

So, women are desired by too many males. Presumably males that aren't always the high caliber, socially apt alpha male or rich billionaire. Is that really such a burden (or shit) compared to not being desired? This seems to me to be a total luxury problem. Sort of like a Queen that whines about having to many cakes to choose from.

It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George's girlfriend looks just like Jerry

I had a very similar situation. I got real jealous, assumed she was cheating, and cheated on her. I pretty much handeled the situation in the worst way possible, lol. Just relax and let those guys play their games. She is with you and not them for a reason.

or go into open relationships, but if she prefers you to be a little jealous than shes like many women who are attracted to at least a little assholishness. just stick it out, sounds great.

What's it like to date a tomboy, I wonder?
Will it spare me of questions like "am I fat" or "if your mother and I drown at the same time, who will you save"?
At the very least it'll save me some money on makeup and expensive clothes made of crap, right?
