Anyone have any epic off-site threads to refer to that contain pwnage of the anti-socialist/pro-capitalist perspective? One of mine was deleted, but I still have my commentary on the economic calculation problem and the Austrian loss on the RonPaulForums: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=213234 I was banned from the "libertarian" forum for "advocating communism."
The most impressive thing I've seen is a behemoth thread where Reiver, a market socialist who posts on Political Forum, effectively crushes the anti-socialist opposition: http://www.politicalforum.com/political-opinions-beliefs/62611-capitalism-vs-socialism.html

I liked the politicalforum thread, or as far as I've read till now. It's a daunting 105 pages long:blink:

That's definitely some excellent material; I do admire out-and-out smashings of the primitive stereotype that "fuzzy-headed socialists" are good-meaning utopianists that can be eviscerated when it comes to the superior economic reasoning of advocates of capitalism. I don't have anything that can match it, unfortunately. I do have this DebatePolitics thread (http://www.debatepolitics.com/general-political-discussion/51299-whats-libertarian-socialism.html), but I unfortunately never finished that discussion due to my ban from the forum. It is openly anarchist and sectarian to an extent that I'd never be on here, though. :D

Agnapostate, I read through the entirety of both threads you linked to that you posted in, and I have a question...
How do you do it?
How do you manage to find the infinite patience to deal with the absolutely vile, fallacious, anti-intellectual drivel spouted by the likes of that Scarecrow guy? How do you manage to keep your calm in the midst of a cesspool of rants and raves by fervent anti-socialists who have no idea what they're talking about, and are perfectly fine with keeping things that way?
Honestly, I would've given up within a few posts. You humored these arch-reactionary clowns for well over a dozen pages with some of the finest scholarship and displays of logic I've ever seen. You're quite simply not human.
Have my babies, please.

S/he certainly must have a bit of a masochistic streak to entertain those threads for so long.

Well, I was willing. I suppose my patience eventually eroded, as patience generally does, and I don't engage in much political debate anymore (except IRL). Since I can type extremely quickly (when I used to post in the library, I'd have people at surrounding computers stop and just stare at me while I typed ), it wasn't as vexing as it might have been, and Scarecrow was truly unique in his obstinacy and stupidity to an extent that no one else there could truly match, although there were plenty of people behind him. My youth liberation (http://www.debatepolitics.com/general-political-discussion/51230-youth-liberation.html) thread is amusing, and contains an exchange with him too.
Have my babies, please.
I'll try my best, but it would take a heavy dose of surgery, hormonal treatment, and Jerry Springer tapings, I think.

Anyone made it to the end of the "Capitalism vs. Socialism" thread? I'll admit I haven't. :D
