What are some other big leftist forums you visit? The only ones I know of are this and Soviet Empire. List some of all tendencies.

Oh and post links if you want please.

flag blackened is an awful clusterfuck of lifestylists. libcom.org is 10x better.

What exactly is a lifestylist if you don't mind me asking?

IMO, they put behavior before meaningful politics.

Other than RevLeft, I've been to YoungComrades (which just died), SovietEmpire (which I promptly just stopped going to), and LibCom.

RevLeft is basically it for me.

Not too many lifestylists on flag blackened. I just dislike the horrible lack of moderation on that site. It is filled with mutualists and individualists. It makes me sick to the stomach just thinking about it.
Infoshop has an okay forum, but I think it has too many primmies.

SovietEmpire has too many tankie communist kitsch fetishists, LibCom has too many anarchists and leftcoms, Revleft despite the administration being sucky is the best of all three. If only there was a decent Leninist forum...

RevLeft is the only one I regularly visit, though Libcom is nice once in a while.

SovietEmpire is little more than a tankie circlejerk, though. I don't know why anyone would go there for serious political discussion that doesn't involve wanking over pictures of old Soviet-era paraphernalia and weaponry.

True. But there is some good discussion once in a while.

There's also Anarchist Black Cat, where the platformists hang out. Don't use it myself, I've heard it has weird moderation policies. And it's full of platformists. :p

What's platformism?

I've never heard of that.

The other pole of anarchism from lifestylism, probably closer to mainstream Marxism than any other kind of anarchism. Stresses theoretical and tactical unity. Says a lot of sensible stuff on the need for organisation, but modern-day platformists tend to be keener on national liberation than other anarchist communists (obv, you might not have a problem with that one). The ideological discourse on Soviet Empire is pretty fail and somewhat like you describe but it's a better source of both factual and anecdotal data about daily life in the eastern bloc than Revleft for sure. Since I'm not super interested in that I don't visit very often or post ever. They are, at the very least, pretty good when it comes to moderation policy.

Also libcom is little more than a post-structuralist/left-commie circlejerk. I don't know why anyone would go there for serious political discussion that doesn't involve wanking over a bunch of jargon filled manifestos written by trendy European intellectuals. :p
