The beginnings of civilization in Caral can also be used to form an updated Marxist critique of history. Let me know what you think if you have time to watch the entire video above. They don't so much go into self interest as they do war but a Marxist critique of Caral should be in order.

I don't think that is too surprising in regard to claims of human nature. Many of the early communities on Earth practiced a form of primitive socialism. However, if we are to make a critique, we should be careful of applying the case of Caral to every civilization.

The Sumerians had a simple socialistic-type society, as did the Native Americans and many tribal/celtic tribes as well.
