A magnetic hill is when a decline looks like a incline it looks like vehicles roll up hill (this due to the angle of visual ques).
So is post boom capitalism like this, what looked like growth was actually decline? Let's face it the idea of the capitalist world melting down like it is now was unthinkable to the bourgeoisie during the long boom yet according to the numbers from the bourgeoisie the post boom period is when profits exploded, this suggests that capitalism went through a long period of decline after the long boom without the bourgeoisie really noticing as the crisis shows the economy is weaker now.
I think this is why the bourgeoisie was so taken by the current crisis, they thought the rate was rapidly growing when in reality it was shrinking.
