New here, mostly think along anarchist lines but I get along with collectivists of all stripes. Into Kropotikin, Bakunin Chomsky, Bookchin, Berkman, Goldman and so on but I don't hate on Marx[ists] etc blah blah. Not a big fan of Fabian socialists or Keynesian types. I spend a lot of time debating capitalists, I waist a lot of time debating capitalists as it always end up in an endless stream of patriotic pro capitalist ad hominem's lobbed my way.
Wolf Larson isn't really my name he's a shifty character from a Jack London book. Anyway, look forward to snooping around in here :thumbup1:

"Keynesian types" are supporters of capitalism, contrary to rightist talking points, so I'd hope that you'd not be a fan.

Ya, new here so I never know what sort of nonsense is passed off as part of the socialist tradition. I've had some rather negative experiences in other more generic forums. Thus far Revleft gets two thumbs up. Hopefully there no major anomosoty between Anarchists and Marxists on here.
Better introduction- my name is John from Oakland. We put together a small construction co op two years ago but it has fallen apart due to the current economy. I've been focusing on building free garden beds for the Oakland community so people can grow thiert own veggies. Other than that I'm not too active these days. Living on homgrown food and scraping by. Things could be better.

Welcome!
Fights between Marxists and Anarchists? Nah, the different Marxist tendencies are too busy fighting each other to bother with the Anarchists ;)

Infighting egh? Ya I hear bob Avakian's crowd isn't very popular. I haven't had any problems with what I've read of him thus far but other Maoists have told me he supports US imperialism in regards to Iran. I'll save this sort of discussion for another thread I guess.

well the anarchists generally consider leinists to be counter-revolutionaries, but don't necessarily think this of all marxists.
The leninist seem to think the same of us.

Don't worry. You'll be acquainted with the ins and outs of sectarian knife-fighting in short order. I never had a sectarian argument before I came to this site. I was naive then.
And I see that you have learned now....

Seems it's mostly between the Stalinist-Maoist groups and Trotskyists, although alot of the authoritarians in particular do like to have a go at anarchists.
Welcome to RevLeft anyway, I hope you enjoy it here. :)

And why aren't we forming a united socialist front during this current capitalist crisis?

There's very significant basis for that, in my opinion. I don't know of any faction on this forum that rejects the main thrust of Marx's critique of capitalism, and as the "libertarians" sympathizing with the Austrian school of economics hawk Peter Schiff and his predictions of the downturn as prophetic, we could certainly engage in more promotion of Marxian crisis theory.
