View Full Version : What Is Your Political Ideology?
The Vegan Marxist

Because, in my 'Anarchist or Communist?' thread, people were wanting specifics, I decided to end that thread & create this one instead. So let's see who's who!

The Political profile thread (http://www.revleft.com/vb/political-profile-t61179/index.html) is sort of covering this already, although it doesn't mention specific tendencies.

Yeah, though it's basing itself under specific questions. This thread is just to allow people to express what their initial ideology is.

Fair enough, but the poll has problems. Firstly, categories may overlap (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-Stalinist can all overlap to some extent), and secondly, the "Fascist" and "capitalist" categories are pretty much redundant on a site named "RevLeft."
Finally, "Neither" is grammatically incorrect, as there are more than two choices.

hey look, another pointless poll.
i'm an anarchist. perhaps an anarchist communist. also a nihilist. i think marx had some interesting things to say. i like dadaism, absurdism, and attempts to reject the ordinary, the normal and so on.
i still think your poll is flawed.
oh and capialists and fascists can't answer. cappies are in oi, and fascists are banned.

If you'd asked me this question a month ago, I'd have answered "Maoist". But these days, I consider the new synthesis of communism by Bob Avakian (http://www.revcom.us/Manifesto/Manifesto.html) a dividing-line question in terms of orientation and objectives; something, that is, that takes the science of communism qualitatively further than Maoism. What has been classically known as Maoism I think has become itself revisionist in today's context. To give myself an informal title, I'd refer to myself as a New Synthesist.

There is no such ideology as "Stalinism". "Stalinism" and "Stalinist" are terms used by people who disagree with Stalin's policies in order to insult those who see Stalin as communist and follow his theories as worshipers of "state capitalism, bureaucracy, authoritarianism" and similar. If people use it for themselves it's for joke reasons or to provocate. We are called Marxist-Leninist since we subscribe to the theories of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin, who was a Marxist-Leninist, refered to himself as such and further developed ML theory but never claimed to have developed a new theoretical stage (like, e.g. Marxism-Leninism-Maoism does). Just sayin'.

MR-8). More broadly it seems to me that nearest thing out there to classical Stalinism in today's world is Hoxhaism.

- nor the party system
- I also don't believe in in how people idol so called leaders, power is from the people not these leader.
if anything i call myself a council communist, power needs to have a direct link to the people. Centralization and nations, only divide human kind. I guess i use the best of the Communists and the Anarchists.
