Nazis to march in Chicago March 21

Nazis are planning a White Pride World Wide march in Chicago next month (http://chicago.indymedia.org/newswire/display/88682/index.php), on the very day commemorating Apartheid South Africa's Sharpesville massacre. As you can see from my link, a number of Chicago radical groups are taking the planned march on March 21st very seriously, after some good actions they did against Nazis at an Eli Wiesel talk (don't worry, the Antifas spread pro-Palestine messages as well), and at attempted David Irving talks. It is an Illinois state neo-nazi group planning to pull this joke. If you're in the area, definitely take the excuse to visit Chicago and to support the antifa, queer, anarchist, marxist, Latino, and other communities that are pulling no punches to oppose their state nazis. Maybe even create a Blue Brothers block or something.

The exact location is not yet known. I'll post that when I hear about it.

Nice to hear. Some reports claims it goes better for the white nationalists now since obama came to power. Is it true or just horror propaganda?

It's sensationalized but right-wing groups have definitely seen a rise in membership and activity sense Obama's election. It's not just people who have insecurities about African-Americans, but generally people who are paranoid about things they consider to be "big government", "socialist", etc as well as problems with immigration and perceptions about a loss of "culture".

So these groups have been infiltrating TEA Party local chapters and demonstrations to get members. White-nationalist groups styled as militias are also seeing an increase in membership.

However thankfully they're still fringe at this point, and there's typically more counter-protesters than they number at, particularly in urban centers. And at any points they're idiots, simply trying to get someone to hit them so that the police can intervene and a riot can ensue.

Last Minute “White Pride” March Updates
Here are some last minute updates regarding Sunday’s ‘white pride’
march. The main organizers at the INSF have apparently pulled out
of this march due to prior antifa harassment which is a success in
itself. However we have received word that the march was handed
down to a local Chicago bonehead and that there were individual
nazis planning on coming out to march on North Michigan Avenue in
the early afternoon. So it’s still on and you can imagine how
pathetic this “World Wide March” may look like. Call the hotline at
773-980-6013 for more last minute updates and as for a meet up
point, here’s what some other folks have planned. From an E-mail:

The neo-Nazi groups are scrambling to choose a time and location;
insider sources have confirmed that they are well aware of the
Facebook group and community organizing meetings and the wide array
of groups mobilizing to come out and demonstrate against their
hate. This has pushed them to a state of alarm. They have responded

About fifty of us gathered at Federal Plaza at 1PM today to counter any NAZI action. We got word that they were protesting in Millennium Park, about five blocks away, so we hied it over there to confront them. There were four of them! We chanted at them till they left.

in front of Saint Xavier university. Thankfully, the Nazis were few in number, way fewer of them then anti-fascist protesters. A lot of the anarchist protesters were skinheads and sometimes it was difficult to tell them from the people they were demonstrating against.

According ARA and infoshop, the Nazis that showed up were greeted by a bunch of angry antifas who beat them savagely and then ran off before the cops came. Then 2 of the nazis were arrested as the anti-hate rally came, and the other two were escorted away by the police (for their protection).

Overall a huge FAIL.

It was a beautiful Sunday Spring afternoon where the Illinois National Socialist Front were supposed to march for “White Pride World Wide”. But for the few Nazis that dared show their face in the city of Chicago, there was nothing but a barrage of blows raining on their parade.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Southside ARA had been scouting in the downtown area early on, watching out for neo-Nazi skinheads and other white supremacists. Within minutes of their pathetic march of four boneheads waving white pride flags, clandestine anti-fascists took formation and confronted them, successfully delivering U-lock justice to the unsuspecting Nazi trash with trained precision. In broad daylight on Michigan Avenue, Nazis helplessly had flags ripped from their hands and were beaten down as pedestrians watched in awe. Later, a police car pulled up and arrested the bewildered and injured boneheads while the anti-fascists swiftly dissapeared into thin air. Showing up seconds later, the pro-diversity / anti-hate rally laid the final icing on the cake by surrounding the humiliated and obviously defeated boneheads and taunted them with chants, holding a rally directly in the path of their march.

With only a handful of white supremacists willing to publicly show their faces, it was evident that local neo-Nazis were not willing to get behind the NSF. In fact, the NSF didn’t even show up to their own march; intelligence gathering showed that they had dropped out of participation just before the march and had handed it over to other local neo-Nazis, unwilling to complete what they had started.

THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE NSF
Several months ago Chicagoland anti-fascists launched a campaign against the NSF utilizing a diversity of tactics including face to face confrontations, flyering the neighborhoods and schools of individual members, posting their home addresses and phone numbers, initiating phone campaigns focusing on key Nazi organizers, and multiple cases of successful infiltration of their ranks.

These tactics have achieved successes in that the NSF has become ineffective: six months ago they were openly organizing barbeques, protesting “black on white hate crimes”, and the opening of a Holocaust Museum in Skokie, etc. Their most recent attempt to march in Chicago was a complete failure, their recruitment gatherings have dwindled, their website went down for a month at a crucial time for promoting the White Pride March, and they have not responded to phone calls or emails from people asking about public information concerning their events.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
While it is easy for us to see a neo-Nazi march as an intrusion of racism into our community, we must also address the way that racism affects our city on a daily basis. Two weeks ago, a homeowner in Mt. Greenwood posted a sign in his front yard stating “No to the Ghetto … White Power”, and if you read recent newspaper headlines you can see the aftermath of Jon Burge and the inherent racism of the Chicago Police Department. Confronting neo-Nazis and other white nationalists is only the beginning of eliminating racism, and we intend to align with other organizations to further combat forms of racism that exist in extremist groups as well as in sectors of society that are less blatant yet no less important.

CONCLUSION
We effectively came together as a city to successfully kick the Nazis out of town. Fierce resistance was delivered and everyone got away without arrest or injury. To the deafeated Nazi scum reading this, give it up! ARA is everywhere.

Misinformation and exaggeration do nothing but damage to the worker's movement.

I think we should be rejoicing that for what could be considered the most important march for international national socialism, there were less than a dozen representing such views. This is a clear message that few people who harbour these sorts of outlooks are willing to actually play any sort of active role.
