THere is an image that I have been curios about for a while, and I assume taht it has to do with socialism. It is a closed hand holding a red rose. Could someone please explain what it means?

AFAIK, it isn't so much associated with socialism as it is with social democracy.

Yep, that's the one, thanks for straightening that out. It's hard to search for something on the internet when you don't know what it is called haha.

It could originally be the image of "bread and roses," which was used by the US labor movement in the early part of the 20th Century. The image comes either from or in response to the role of women in the Lawrence, Mass. textile strike of 1912.

One of the outcomes was a beautiful poem and song. Here are the lyrics.
Bread and Roses
As we go marching, marching, in the beauty of the day,
A million darkened kitchens, a thousand mill lofts gray,
Are touched with all the radiance that a sudden sun discloses,
For the people hear us singing: Bread and Roses! Bread and Roses!
As we go marching, marching, we battle too for men,
For they are women's children, and we mother them again.
Our lives shall not be sweated from birth until life closes;
Hearts starve as well as bodies; give us bread, but give us roses.
As we go marching, marching, unnumbered women dead
Go crying through our singing their ancient call for bread.
Small art and love and beauty their drudging spirits knew.
Yes, it is bread we fight for, but we fight for roses too.
As we go marching, marching, we bring the greater days,
The rising of the women means the rising of the race.
No more the drudge and idler, ten that toil where one reposes,
But a sharing of life's glories: Bread and roses, bread and roses.
Our lives shall not be sweated from birth until life closes;
Hearts starve as well as bodies; bread and roses, bread and roses.RED DAVE

As an author of three poem books, I've got to say that I'm mesmerized by this poem!

Along with the Australian Labor Party. Both of them are nothing but a bunch of bourgeoisie working under the guise of socialism.
