Love snow, but it sucks to have to drive through, and the town I am from excels in inhospitable weather. It likes to snow, then rain for a while, turning the snow into mush and the ground into mud, then freeze the mud rapidly along with the roads, making the ground very hard to walk on, and it near impossible to drive.

Snow is usually fine to drive on (provided you got winter tracks on your wheels), it's worse when you get a combination of ice and water on top of it.
We got a ice driving module in our driving license course and thats quite fun.
What really sucks is to scrape ice off the windows in the morning.

When I visit home I drive my mom's 98 hatchback Honda Civic, you have no control at all over that thing if there is anything slightly slick on the road

Agreed. I've lived in MA my whole life and I always hated snow. I do like driving when it's slippery though. :D

that is just fucking weird... How are the alligators handling the snow? All I remember from visiting South Carolina when I was a kid is that the sand hurt to step on without sandals on, and when I went fishing with my uncle we had to leave early because alligators were swimming towards us.

It was supposed to snow in the panhandle of hell, but I don't think it did. However, it has been quite pleasant here for the time of year. Its in the high 40s low 50's during the day, usually 70's or 80's by February.(hell by January)
