Hi,

Thanks for the welcome. Being possibly the only Communist in the state of NH, I bring you my lonely greetings. I am a member of the CPUSA and again am the only member from my state. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and look forward to spending time in the site.

In solidarity,
Len

NH?

New Hampshire...
right above Massachusetts, where Boston is.

Welcome
Personally, I won't suggest the CPUSA as the best party since they're mostly cheerleaders for the democrats. You may or may not have already gotten this impression, after all they don't even run any candidates to my knowledge.

I would suggest the SPUSA or maybe PSL...

Or you could be a social anarchist like me and perhaps, not sure about your area, join NEFAC (North-East Federation of Anarchist Communists) or something of that sort.

I'm not sure how the opportunities for activism are in NH...the net gives the impression that there's not much presence of radical organizations

Thanks for the info!...you are right about the CPUSA. I am in the process of researching the groups you mentioned....thank you again ....for that info

New Hampshire is definitely not a Communist hot spot as you mentioned, i guess I'm just a lone voice crying out in the frozen wilderness.....

Please feel free to share any more ideas or thoughts concerning any other organizations that you may think helpful.

In Solidarity,
Len

Greetings from your south, where people drive into your state to not pay sales taxes on their purchases

Welcome aboard ;)

Are we allowed to send up all of our masshole drivers to drive NH motorists insane? Cause we got plenty to spare ;)

hahaha
Initially I thought when it came to regional rivalries it was mostly the North-East vs the South-East (I of course support the NE, despite being in Florida at the moment) until I heard rumors that even the states in New England seem to find some small detail to dislike each other about (and of course I heard they dislike the Atlantic states, specifically NY; at least in the realm of sports.).

I've been hearing of some quite peculiar things about NH from a friend of mine who's originally from NH.

There's no sales tax?

That's right. No sales or income tax. Live Free or Die is our state motto....it's even on our license plates!!

lol
my friend keeps telling me about this great motto many times.
I've seen the license plates, there's many north-easterners (sometimes, especially if they only come here during winter or something, called "snow birds") in Ft.Myers, Florida (incidentally, not in Miami...I guess they're afraid of all the hispanics in Miami...)

Welcome!

No sales tax is no problem -- except that there should at least be a sales tax on luxury goods (the stuff you really do have to be rich to purchase) -- and no income tax is a serious problem.

I suppose socialists could demand that the slogan be more honest -- Live In The Free Market And Die? Something like that...
