Okay, I've been in quite a procarius position ever since I graduated high school {Class of 2008}. Do any comrades in America know which locations in the US have more jobs availiable than others? I live in Indiana, by the way, and jobs are practically extinct here.

I would try your local UPS branch, they always seem to be hiring, plus they make you join a union which could be good for agitation and propaganda if you belong to a party.

I live in LA, where there is an infinite number of businesses, restaurants, etc. Pretty much any large industrial city is like that, of course. I havent been able to find a job for a few months myself though, ever since I moved back from this place i was stayin in Sacramento (which sucks by the way). But i think its just a matter of time before i find one (especially since Ive only got a few months left in Trade school), considering the sheer amount of commercial activity here. You should most definitely move here, youd love it. And we have an expansive public transportation system. Although, living on minimum wage out here is a real *****, since the cost of living is so damn high. The cheapest rent is around $600 a month for a one bedroom apartment here in the ol' Barrio around south or east LA. :D The closer you live toward the coast, the higher the rent.

Try getting a job with the 2010 Census. They pay pretty well, $18 an hour where I live, but less so in suburban and rural areas. Its only temporary, but you're chances of getting a job with them are better than most other places right now.

Every time you buy a cola, put the last cent from the dollar into a special jam jar your poor immigrant mother gave you. After many years of manfully walking to the job centre, and earning a lil extra on the side by running a home made lemonade store out of your garage, you will have enough to start your own folksy capitalist enterprise, featuring your venerable momma, master chef of all things bistro, and dispenser of advice from the school of hard knocks, your lovely Sister, who has developed a worrisome liking for the bad boys in the Combroni gang down the street, and your slow but large hearted brother. Though hard work and enterprise, you will eventually become a millionaire.

Bud Struggle's actual real life story.

Haha that too, instead of my life story that i posted :D But trade/vocational school almost guarantees you a decent job ($20-25/hour), unlike community college. A trade school only takes about 9 months of training.

Anyway to the OP, thats what many are doing here. I go to trade school but, in my case, i have to pay $200 a month, since I, nor my family, has good enough credit to qualify for a $15,000 loan.
I think it might be somewhat valuable to tell you what i, and many people, have to do, to attend a vocational/trade school. Just to give you a heads up: I had my mom cosign for the loan, but she makes $40,000 a month (she worked for the same employer for a decade, to earn that much, by the way), which is considered too high to qualify for the Stafford loan (which is bullshit because, of course, they dont adjust for inflation). I dont know how things run in the state where you live, but in CA i was able to get away with not paying the full monthly $200, and i told them my economic situation so that i convinced them to put off my debt until after graduation. They wont give me my certificate until after i pay the amount owed though, which will be in the thousands. But i can still show employers my proof of certification through the school.

I feel your pain, I've definitely been there. Unfortunately there isn't anywhere in the US that's knee deep in job openings, unless you're cool with living in Bumblefuck, Dakota. Your best bet is probably to get out of the Midwest, it's a sinking ship regardless.
