Also, I understand your position; but I would argue that my friend, Zach, is black and yet he can visit that website. A bit misguided, i'm sure you meant that it is an American network website who's copyrights only allow American citizens to visit, no?

If Obama knows that the GOP is full of shit and hates him and will oppose him no matter what, why does he continue to try to win their favor?

I am glad that Obama called them out as a bunch of liars and hypocrites. He basically whomped on them and left them sitting there grinding their teeth. That's good, he showed them that their policies are destructive. BUT then if he really believes all that then why didn't he just leave them in the dust and really reformed the system. Instead he pussyfooted the entire year he had a super majority and let the GOP gain some ground.
