In the perfect society, I believe, that you wouldn't need police and army, because there wouldn't be any crime or war. Everyone agrees with that, except maybe fascists and extreme right-wingers. But some right-wingers, like the Conservative part in Britain, don't realise that this is only possible in a socialist society. The Conservative Party say that people are born unequal, so why try change that. They say it's healthy for society and that it makes people competative. It's just that. that competitiveness sometimes means crime, whereas the best way to combat crime is not through a bigger Police force, and tougher sentences, after all it doesn't matter how horrible the crime these are human beings we are talking about. Crime should be combatted with environment, education and rehabilitation. In the perfect society everyone is equal and therefore no one needs to steal from each other, and people don't need to revert to crime. But for this to happen, you need to get rid of the class system.

Agree, but you would need an army to protect yourself from the Facist and other countries that want to spoil what you have.
The best way to combat crime is through good media, and good education. A way to combat crime is through not scaring the people and pump them full of fear of their neighbor.

I agree, but I was talking about a perfect world wide society, if every nation was like this, then there wouldn't be any wars, etc. But if every country agreed because they're right wing they probly wouldn't go to war.
But yes, if we are talking about a single nation then you would need an army.

yes, the whole world would need to be like this. their could be not a single area of poverty or inequality. but wqe sit here and talk of this dream, that's all it is, it's a dream, right now anyways. could this be possible? yes, it could. but it would require world-wide socialist movements. it would require governments of major world powers (us, britain, etc.) to be socialist and support the less forunate of the world. and they couldn't simply ablish all discrimination and inequality, they'd have to go farther than that.
a perfect society would not be one where simply no one is allowed to discriminate or commit crime, but one where no one has to feel the need to discriminate or commit crime.

As an anarchist I think the perfect society would be one without a government or authorities, everyone should have a bit of power, and they would be divided but united at the same time.
Crime shouldn't exist and people assemblies should decide what to do with criminals, usually giving them the worst works.
People would use the work to survive and help each other, the people would exploit the nature without destroying it to gain what they need to live and benefits should be collective.
Animals should be respected, kids shouldn't spend so much time in school and safe technologies and medicines should be developed to create better living conditions.
Countries should exist, but they shouldnt fight, they are just to identify where everyone is from.
I think this is possible to do.

Whats wrong with kids spending so much time in school?
And I dont think countries should exist. To identify where someone is from is to have diffrences and inequalites. NO borders, were all brothers and sistas

as much as I love the idea of brother and sisterhood, I tend to disagree on this notion...
Competition is something as old as the valleys. Even during the caveman era, fellow homo sapiens competed with the other for food and other things. It's something natural, in my opinion, in all of us.
Why get 100 dollars this week, when you can make 1,000 dollars elsewhere? Money has become an essential necessity for anyone to survive here, so of course they would be pursuaded moreso by the almighty dollar.
What you must also take into account is, this idea of the 'perfect society' sounds a lot like communism. In fact, communism's a great idea...on paper. But as I said, humans are naturally competitive, even little children fight over more for themselves. You can see competition within humanity almost anywhere you go.
I think sharing and equality is taught and trained within a person, not the other way around. I think this idea of a perfect society is great and all, but of course, would never work.
As a last point, I'd like to state that what makes us homo sapiens different than any other species, is that we are all different, with our own mindsets and capabilities. I would shudder to think that my talents are going unnoticed while another can be rewarded for talents they do not have. As much as I love the idea of equality, I too would love to have my talents awarded as well....
But that's just me. :D

yeah..love the idea, BUT. <_<
Itīs impossible to make people "equal".
Itīs not possible to start from the scratch anymore. rich people gettinīmore all the time, poor people losinī.
people are not gonna be satisfied with less when they can get more. not everbody wantīs to share their property.
thereīs always competition between people,
itīs called human nature.

human nature can always be altered though...
If an injustice is done to oneself, they can channel their rage into 'legal' action, by following written law, and filing charges, or sueing, etc...
The initial rage felt at one doing an injustice to another can be altered into what our government depicts as 'correct, concisive' action against the perpetraitor.
But i've always believed otherwise...
