J.D. Salinger is the author of one of my favorite books: The catcher in the rye. I truly loved each sentence of the book. Salinger was a gifted writer, it's a shame that he has left us.

Every angst-ridden teenager in the US has read The Catcher in the Rye for the past 55 years or so. It's a great expose of the shallow values and alienation of capitalism.

Things haven't gotten better since it was written.
