In Belgium, tensions are rising between workers and bosses. There's a wave of redundancies in different companies and recently bosses organisations sent out a pamphlet on how to break strikes.
Yesterday, the three main unions held a protest asking for jobs and respect for workers, over 30.000 people showed up.

This is an important event involving workers fighting back against firing. Until the working class starts to fight back against firings, evictions, etc., the capialists will enjoy a big party while the rest of us sweat it out.

(By the way, what is the significance of the red and green colors in the pictures in the OP?)

Nice pics - it would've been cooler if the people there did some impromptu interviews with random people in the demonstrations, and put together a collection of some of the cooler quotes.

the red colors are peopole of the socialist union, the greens are the christian-democrat union. The christian democrat union is the largest, but generally less militant. There's also a liberal union (if you believe that) they're the smallest of the three and the least militant.

Here's a collection of small interviews with people in the demonstration, but it's in dutch, and I don't feel like translating all of it.

Thanks. Here's a version from a web translator:

I probably would have looked for more militant people to interview and added more militant quotes than the ones they used in that article though

It is always nice to see the working class organizing even if a large portion is organizing under the banner of some christian democrat union. Any organizing is better than none as far as I am concerned,

Ah, I'm not sure exactly, but it went into detail about different ways to break a strike.
