I live in a small town in central Illinois that's within two hours of Galesburg, Peoria/Pekin, Springfield and Bloomington/Normal. I would like to meet other radical liberal and socialist persons and parties in my relative neighborhood. I've heard that the ISO meets in Champaign and Chicago obviously has a rich political background. Both these areas are outside practical, everyday travel for me. Also, I've heard that the ISO is really a party for white-color and identity causes which I'm not really all that interested in. If anyone would like to meet me or knows some good contact information, phone numbers, emails, websites or blogs, please drop them here or in a private message.

I live near Dupo and Columbia, in St. Clair County, across the river from St. Louis. Is it practicable for us to meet soon, and maybe try to include several comrades from St. Louis.

I used to live about an hour north of Peoria. Politically, the area's pretty much a dead zone. And I'd stay away from the ISO if I were you. My advice would be to move to Chicago when you can. The protest scene in Chicago is pretty weak, which I could care less about, but there's an active radical culture. Right now there are at least 3 public Marxist reading groups going on simultaneously and these can act as springboards to other political work. I know the Marxist-Humanists have one, as well as the Chicago Political Workshop with AREA, and Platypus has reading groups on the north side, downtown, and in hyde park. And of course the RCP, ISO, and the Sparts all have active chapters, but I wouldn't touch any of these groups with a ten-foot pole.

Works for me. Whatever arrangements you all come up with should suit me fine.

Social, perhaps you and Tzadikim could carpool? That'd be way to expensive for me, going to St. Louis & back.

I myself don't drive, but could pretty easily find someone to drive me - I have a few friends of a vaguely-left-liberal persuasion who'd probably be pretty excited at the prospect. I have no doubt we could provide social transportation.
Why not meet in the middle?

Check out their websites, publications, etc. Find out what they are actually doing.
Relying on what you've "heard" is a piss-poor way to gain information.
