We are progressive; we support changes, revolution, equality, justice, all the good things...
Read the wikipedia article on left wing politics if you want (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing_politics)

In the french parliament of the old (? might be wrong, elaborate please) the ones who wanted to preserve ways of the old always sat on the right side of the chairperson, and the ones who wanted change and progress always were seated to the left.

Wow! As far as I recall, the Student Federation of India is the student wing of the Communist ( ) Party of India (Marxist), isn't it ?
Can you explain exactly what makes your party communist or leftist or whatever you call it ? Only the name, I suppose ?

A communist party in any third world country is supposed to lead the struggle of broad masses, that is, mainly the proletariat and peasantry, against the system. We are aware of the CPI(M)'s class-collaborationist policies in general, and its military actions ( through goons and government troops ) against the masses in Nandigram and Lalgarh. How do you explain these facts ?
Also, despite many references to "revolution" in the CPI(M)'s official documents, it openly upholds the Indian Constitution. Does the Indian Constitution promote revolution or is India socialist already ?
