Kids might be without custody between their house and school? Ban biking to school! Fighting is a problem? Punish every kid who's involved in a fight, regardless of who started it, so the bully and the victim get equal punishment! The US education system is crippled by institutional idiocy of the highest degree.

Honestly, for all the comrades outside of the US, if you live in the country for a few years (especially suburbia), you'll find that this kind of idiotic reasoning is almost unavoidable.

During this time he was "forced" to fire a teacher for budget reasons, and we continued to use books which are so fucking old they still have the USSR on them.

Nope, never been to one I'm glad to say.

From what I've heard their career education programs focus intensely on motivating and preparing the students to become employers and bosses, as opposed to our public system which I know from experience pretty much teaches you that you'll only ever be able to sell your labour.

Consider that and the fact that the last 2 prime ministers (at least) have funded private schools better than any of the state schools and it becomes really obvious they want to shit all over the rest of us.

Well, I'll play devil's advocate here and say that the dictionary entry about which they were concerned does not describe an act that is likely to result in reproduction. Apparently God hates foreplay, while He loves chafed genitals.

Also, to my knowledge, the same dictionary does not have an entry for "anal sex," so why have one for the nibble and blowski? Why is an entry for oral sex even necessary? You have an entry for "oral" and an entry for "sex," put them together and the meaning is pretty obvious.

But I will certainly agree with the awesomeness of scouring the dictionary as a six-year-old, looking for dirty words. I guess I grew up before it was really practical to find that stuff on the Internet.

As far as shit like this, my school was actually pretty reasonable. None of that abstinence only bullshit was ever presented to us and we weren't sheltered from the reality's of our body. I can't imagine growing up in a really conservative area.
