My brother has a real big fascination towards Soviet history, & really has become somewhat of a fan towards Stalin's militant forces during WWII, & he's been asking for a while now on if there's any documentary that goes based on the Soviet perspective towards what happened during WWII. I'm interested as well, but not as much as he is, & I promised him I'd try to find a documentary that goes based on what he's looking for. If there is any such documentary, do any of you know what it was called & if I can find it online or not. Much would be appreciated if one was found. Thank you.

Presuming you talk about the perspective of the Soviet government, the bureaucratic elite, it is the same as that of today's Russia.

With some nationalist corrections the Puntinists made this fine animation:

It's designed to make the Russian people identify with their central government, to belittle it's mistakes and to exaggerate the role of the security services which still form a significant part of the Russian elite.
