Get it to the idiot sold it to you, and demand him/her to give you one, or ask for another pc, or a refund if none can be done of the above.

Indeed, get Linux or BSD. Ubuntu would be most suitable for the average person.

You should be restricted for using anything made by Microsoft. They use the flaws of capitalism to the fullest.

it was bought for me, and I can't afford my own laptop. Aaaand surely buying anything via capitalist means is equally damaging to using microsoft, since it all supports the capitalist system. target specific corporations until you are green in the face if you like, the the machine will keep on going.

What are these systems, I have never heard of them. Perhaps you could enlighten me before suggesting I get restricted?

No refund or new one do-able, appartenly there is no universal guarentee, software only. Microsoft are indeed scum...

You are right about buying anything from a capitalist organisation; it's bad, but sometimes unavoidable or not worth the effort if the system remains. But I wouldn't say all are equally bad.

But thankfully with computer operating systems you have a choice of not buying or using capitalist produce. I suggest you try Ubuntu. It's a Linux system which is completely non-profit and which is widely used.

Go to: http://www.ubuntu.org .

I hope you enjoy it. Though, even this system is probably parasitic of capitalism; most developers are probably software developers or others working for for-profit companies.

And I didn't mean my wish to restrict you to be taken serious; I use Windows whenever I am unable to use anything else.

Sharing product keys on revleft puts revleft at risk. Use Linux. The most popular Linuxes for beginners are Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com/), Debian (http://www.debian.org/), Fedora (http://fedoraproject.org/), OpenSuse (http://www.opensuse.org/) and Mandriva (http://www.mandriva.com/). Now close this thread.

Or you could use the Windows XP clone based off of Ubuntu that Chinese pirates made a few months ago.

But seriously, try Linux. You can download an image to burn to a disc that runs off it, so you can try before you commit. Also, WINE (software that allows one to run windows software on linux, amongst other OSes) is pretty good and can run many games and programs flawlessly (for instance, I can run Borderlands and Steam on my machine).

Definately don't crack it at all because that's illegal. Whatever you do, do not use a crack (even though it's free).
