I just wondered whether there were other who thaught the same as me; Castro used Che Guevara as a martyr to make more people sympatize with Cuba.
Che is without doubt a hero of the revolution, but has Castro glorified Che and made him an idol for the young? I blame Castro that a clothes store nearby my apartment sells Che T-Shirts to people with no idea who he is. Imperialists and capitalists make money on their own enemy...

Castro didn't do anything, Che IS a martyr and a hero! IF you don't believe me I suggest you research his life more thoroughly.
But I agree, capitalists are making money off of their enemy. LOL, they have Che shirts in Macy's!

Onepunch I agree with you to a certain extent cause I also agree with red comrade. I have read my share of books and reports and what not's on Che and the truth is that whether or not Castro used him to get the Cuban people to follow is up to the opinion of the author of what ever you read. I have been intrested in Che for about 3 1/2 years now and at first I though he was a hero he tried to do this great thing and Castro is evil. Now after raeding more on both of them I think it's very possible Castro used him but that doesn't make either of them bad people. No matter how you look at it they just wanted to help the Cuban people and free them from their opression. I think the problem was that they forgot they were human and Castro got a little power hungry helped get Che killed and forgot why he was in Cuban in the first place.

Ive accually never thought about it. Maybe he did do that to get sympathy, but its like the black struggle using the little girls gettin killed in the church by the kkk or the Nazis using the death of some commander as an excuse to kill Jews and burn their shops.
the story of a death of a person and that story multiplied by a thousand you have a myth, and you have sympathy.
Wether Castro accually did this I dont know and I dont say he did, but I dont say that he didnt. Its a possibility.

I was under the impression that Fidel loved Che. I am no expert on either of them, maybe someone who is could fill me in. I recently saw a documentary on Fidel Castro and he spoke so fondly and from his heart (it seemed to me) about Che. He said that he still communicated with Che, as if he weren't dead.
Also, when Che left Cuba for Bolivia, he wrote three letters. One of them was to his family, I forget who got the other one, and lastly to Fidel. I think they both had utmost respect for eachother.

Che became a hero in my eyes because of his beliefs. I think my memory is correct when I say this, Che left Cuba to go and fight in the congo and then returned secretly to Cuba where he then went on to fight and die in Bolivia, he done this because he believed in fighting for the "poorer" man, He also became a hero as in the speech fidel gave after being informed of Che death he told the people of cuba and people came to realise that Che knew the odds were against him but still went on to fight with several other cubans. I think that people look up to Fidel but Idolise Che. Fidel is more a politian and che was more a revolutionary (that is my opinion but I might be inaccurate as I have only read one or two books).
In a book I have read it was said that although Fidel knew che and his troops were in trouble, no rescue mission was ever put forward and I think some people might look at that as though Che was betrayed, I myself dont look at it that way I think Che knew the chances of his survival and didnt give in to fear, he fought until his last breath.
That is just my opinion so I might be wrong with some facts.
