Im currently writing a paper for school and in one part of it i am hoping to look at the corporate dominance in the supply of tools in regards to music technology and production. I will be addressing both the pros and cons but am particularly looking at the short commings of the industry under the current system.
Can anyone suggest some good books or papers that adress this, ie the corporations loyalty to the sharholders over the consumer, the influence of advertising and marketing on the consumers choice and particularly issues in mass production ie placeing mass consumption over innovation and originality.
Anyway ideas or other suggestions welcome.
