What happened, from what I gathered, is that one day Malte suggested in the mod/admin secret board that perhaps they should just close the CC. Many mods/admins voted to closed the CC. Thus the CC is closed.

There's many reasons behind it...one has to do with a thread on ComradeMan where the majority of the CC wanted to restrict him (ironically he later was restricted) due to Zionism (this was the main reason) and another thread was started to make concrete what position the CC should take about Zionism. Malte vetoed the CM thread and when the CC was closed the other thread became irrelevant. I think, previously, telling you this would have gotten me booted from the CC but since it's closed I guess it doesn't matter or I might end up being restricted and if that's the case well...whatever.

The mod/admin team at the time probably had a different rationale behind voting to close the CC though; some of which I heard (as in they're just rumors) sound to be petty another was that the CC was no good/petty/etc and perhaps they also didn't like when the CC was opposed to something mods/admins approved of/etc. However, what's ironic about this is that mods and admins can also be as petty as the CC members so their reasoning is pretty flimsy.

I personally think the CC should be back but at this point I doubt it will...
Also, if one is into this myth/joke, one could say that finally the "anarcho-trot conspiracy" has taken over...if this is the case I feel left out since I'm an anarchist...
