I've been looking at this site for a while and I've decided to join it.
I'm a socialist and I have been for about 10 months. I first became interested in leftism after I saw a documentary "Death of a Nation" about post-communist Russia, around this time we were making speechs for our English classes at school (I am only in my early teens) so I made a speech about communism and then realised how much better socialism was to capitalism and I became a socialist.
Unfortunately where I'm from I only know one other leftist, a friend of mine, and hardly anyone seems to even know anything about communism except some of the teachers, who all oppose it, infact my friend got in trouble from a teacher for writing "Communism for me and you" on the back of his book.
That's all, thanks for reading my introduction!
