Man, did that film make me rage like hell.
Seriously, America's healthcare system is disgusting. What's the fucking point of buying insurance if they just deny you the treatment anyway?
Please tell me this film was propaganda and Michael Moore was lying the whole way through.

Unfortunately no, he was not lying, that IS exactly how it is in America. The health care system shows just how shitty this country is.

I wish someone would tie Glenn beck to a chair and make him watch this movie.
It would be funny to watch his face turn red as his head spins round in a smoking rage going ''GETOFFMYPHONEGETOFFMYPHONEGETOFFMYPHONEGETOFFMYP HONE...''

What help would that be. He'd say it was propaganda. Although your point could be advanced to give him Ludovico treatment against capitalism :D

I really would like to nationalize Glenn Beck. He could be a common slave for all the workers. I reeeallly would enjoy that.
But as to the original topic, the entire idea of insurance should be outlawed. The whole idea is a huge load of BS.

I want to make Sarah Palin watch the parts in Britain, France and Cuba and be like 'WHERE ARE YOUR DEATH PANELS NOW?!'

Alas, she has the part of her brain that conceives reality accurately lacking. It would make no difference. You could show her the Catherine Tate show and she'd swear blind it was Flying Circus

Which makes me want to cry and make me realize how fortunate I am to be in Canada... :crying:

I can't really say for sure how accurate it is just by basing my experience, except for one small point/aspect.
At one point we had a health care plan that forced us to go to an intermediary doctor who then referred us to the actual doctor.
I find this aspect...ironic perhaps...in that people made arguments that with public health care you need to go to a main doctor before being referred (i.e. you can't "pick your doctors") yet this exact thing they complain about is actually prevalent with private health care (and I heard that in relation to public health care it's a lie: you can go to any doctor under public health care; although I wouldn't know since I never dealt with a public health care system).
