Manu Chao and Mano Negra?

Anyone in here a fan of the music of Manu Chao and his old band Mano Negra.

They're a really good band from France. They deliver a strong message too. Check 'em out.

Yeah, I love manu chao. My favorite songs are clandestino and Me gusta tu.

One of the few world famous singer songwriters who actually practices what he preaches. He continued his concert in Genova 2001 while the tear gas bombs where flying around like crazy, during one of the large demos. That, and the fact that when one of Argentinas main television stations asked him in an interview what he thought was the definition of anarchy, he and the band (Mano Negra at the time) thrashed the whole studio. Not really productive, but kick ass none the less.

This, and the fact that I find his music very relaxing, makes him a cool character in pop-culture.
