Attack on our comrade
On January 6, 2010 at around 11:00 pm four fascists attacked Boris Boev – one of the most active members of the resistance movement “23rd September”. The attack was premeditated and cruelly perpetrated. There was no concrete reason for the attack. The perpetrators were in wait for him at the bus stop in proximity with his home. They attacked him in the darkness with a hard object as soon as he took off the bus which attack could have ended fatally. He is now alive only due to his healthy and robust constitution.
This fascist attack on a comrade of ours is not an individual case:
- on May 1, 2009 when the demonstration for the Day of international working class solidarity ended up, an organized group of about twenty fascists attacked some of the demonstration participants in the Park of Liberty. Then an adult woman and her daughter (well-disposed to the movement) suffered and seven attackers were arrested by the police
- Some years ago, another comrade of ours was hit on the head with a bottle while waiting for the concert to start in front of a concert hall. It was only by good fortune that the young man remained alive.
- There are many deadly Internet threats made against our movement active members. Fascist representatives collect information on the addresses and personal data and publish photos of our active members.
In Bulgaria, the neo fascists, with their flagrant and arrogant acts, have been trying to frighten the active members of the left organizations in the country and to nib in the bud the movement for resistance against the dictatorship of both the big Bulgarian and foreign capital. The attackers’ strive to imitate the example of their precursors from the fascist irregular detachments is obvious, relying on the inactivity and inertness of the state bodies to remain unpunished. We are appealing to the relevant state institutions to start fulfilling their functions and take legal steps against the fascist groups.
The fascism is a destructive cause, historically doomed, as well as the old exploiting system to which this monstrous cause serves.
The outrages of brutal aggressiveness and the demonstrative bloodthirstiness of the scum of society are an expression of their ideological helplessness and naturally, these actions cannot stop the advance of the growing movement for the liberation of the working people from the capitalist inequality and oppression.
