The only one I know of is the Marxist-Leninst Party of Canada (http://www.cpcml.ca/), and I don't really know much about them, except that they run in federal elections which I usually take as a bad sign.

They're not related to the Communist Party of Canada, who are pretty reformist, but their platform is pretty unclear and not too radical sounding.

Does anyone know of any decent M-L groups in BC, specifically the Lower Mainland?

No, but a random interesting bit of western Canada anti-revisionist trainspotting trivia, the Manitoba Regional Committee of the CPC-ML is not affiliated with the CPC-ML, and was officially expelled in 2008.

What was the cause of expulsion?

I'm thinking of doing a short list of Canadian parties.

Yeah, that would be pretty useful, although I suspect most of them would be Eastward of where I am :(

Started a List of Left-Wing Parties in Canada (http://eng.anarchopedia.org/List_of_Left-Wing_Parties_in_Canada).

I am absolutely ashamed of the Canadian left for being lower on the organizational front than the American left. :(

Thanks for starting this! I know this is just in its beginning stages, but do you know of any non-anarchist groups?

Yeah, it's pretty embarrassing. I mean, there is more organization in Eastern Canada, but even then it's fairly sparse.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada?

CPC ML is weird. They have a few locations (a couple of unions & a campus or two) where they play a role, but they're the most sectish of any group of any size. They started publishing their weird ass photocopies to sell on the streets again -- seen a few around, either ultraleft or opportunist.

Could you elaborate on the "sectish" "weird ass photocopies," and "ultraleft/opportunist" things?

I think that's when you sit on the photocopier, make 100 copies, then distribute them.
