Why you should join our effort
So much has happened this month – numerous protests, events and actions around the world recalling Israel’s horrendous attack on Gaza last year and reaffirming our support of Palestine’s besieged and oppressed people.
Here in Philly, actions included a combined rally with Philly Against War, PRAWN, Veterans for Peace (http://www.veteransforpeace.org/), and other Philly activists, a candlelight vigil, and a New Year’s Eve gathering with a presentation by young activists recently in Palestine.
Some Philly activists even went to Egypt to stand with the brave protestors in Rafah and El-Arish against the Egyptian authorities, pawns of the U.S. and Israel. And one day after the Viva Palestina (http://www.vivapalestina.org/) convoy finally got through the border, Israel was bombing Gaza again!
Meanwhile, their “great general”, architect of many of the present-day policies, lies in a persistent coma, a 4-year vegetative state – a great metaphor for Israel to learn from. Let’s keep pounding the message home – 61+ years of oppression must end now! – with continued actions and events.
Join the ‘Third Friday’ protest each month, attend every planned event, plan your own action for others to join, etc. Do all you can to help strengthen the Philly coalition for Palestine!
VIVA PALESTINA! FREE GAZA
