What you described is, indeed, disgusting. But, look at Germany prior to the rise of Hitler - the Communists were used by the Hitlerians as an excuse to commit acts of violence, and the more the Left fought back, the more the population at large feared and hated them.

It is similar in this country. "Socialist" was used as an indictment in the last Presidential Campaign, and Americans still, by and large, fear Communism. So, education is still the best course at present. And, since we must, for the time being, act within the laws of the U.S. - perhaps an effort to criminalise racist behaviour would be in order. Is it abusive for a white parent to teach his child to hate non-whites? Yes.

As Lenin said: "The capitalists strive to sow and foment hatred between workers of different faiths, different nations and different races." In the end, it all comes back to Capitalist Oligarchs and their merciless drive to attain power, and to hold on to that power.

Sadly, in the here and now, not much can be done - except organising, educating, and keeping alert to what is going on in your city. The nazis were defeated before, and they will be again.
