Hey, while were asking silly questions, what does Hasta La Victoria Siempre mean ?
I'm not making fun, I seriously don't know. I don't speak Spanish and I've never bothered to ask, I think I just thought I'd figure it out on my own. Somehow I figured out what Victoria O Muerte meant on my own.

Until victory always.
It's actually:
kinda like check, minus the ck.
or chess, minus the ss.
che, you get what I mean?
Chay is the common anglo-sised version. It's how I pronounce it, otherwise no-one knows who you mean.
Gue, is kinda like get, minus the t.
vara, is just like it's spelt.
This is what I've been lead to believe by many people here over the last 1 1/2 years. Also by the "Commandante Che Guevara" song on the 365live radio station we have here.

"Shay" or "Chay" both seem to be used. Hasta la victoria siempre means to struggle ever towards our victory, or we will always have victory.

You're all wrong.
Che Guevara is pronounced: "Aiiyyyuylwwahumzhi - Bing."
And Hasta La Victoria Siempre! simply means: "I like big butts and I cannot lie, all them other brothas can't deny!"

Che is "chay"...as for "Guevara" many who aren't familiar with the spanish language tend to pronounce the "u" in "guevara" which, in reality, the "U" is silent.
Since my last name is also Guevara, the correct pronunciation is:
"ge-vara" both the "e" and "a" are short

oh I don't know if I am or not, just answering the gentlemen's question as to how to properly pronounce "guevara"
As for my lineage, I never knew my father so...up in the air I suppose.

If your some long lost cousin or something that would be awesome. There are places on the net where you can trace your family history.
