I wouldn't say dumbest. I would however say that Australia has the most apathetic population of all the developed countries, and also one of the most reactionary governments.

The only regionalist hatred is between Melbourne and Sydney, and it's over which is the real capital. It never gets more serious than a slight disagreement, which is usually undermined by public drunkeness and inaudible mumbling: common in Australian pubs.
