Yes, Nebraska is the Cornhusker state. Where are you from and how did you know that? And no, the three of us at Che-lives are not farmers. We live in the capital of Lincoln, a city of 225,000 people. The cornfields do start not far out of town, though.

I live in Lincoln. I used to live next to Cornhusker Highway. I have passed the Cornhusker Hotel more times than I count. My brother detassled corn one day a few summers back, and one of my best friends tried it, too. My favorite American football team is UNL's, the Cornhuskers. My grandmother's bank is Cornhusker Bank. Sense a trend?

Our own Gov. Scrooge (formerly Johanns)is hard at work cutting programs and firing tenured faculty at UNL, Comrade Sensitive. UNL is decent, you say... have no fear--the reactionaries are trying to tear it down as we speak. As the quality of education declines, the tuition is going up again and again. So you will be getting less ed and paying more for it... it is downright utopian. Or was it... distopian?

yeah, i live where Malcolm was born. though you wouldn't know it being here. last year we tried to get a malcolm X boulevard, but the city council struck it down. nebraska is still very conservative. no i'm not new. i've been here longer than most others, about 2 years this month or sometime around there. i had a different name the first time i joined and then after awhile i forgot the password and had to start this account. good to see others from somewhere in the midwest. fuck, its like a desert of commies out here, you only find little oasis. i guess lincoln might be one.
