This doesnt sound like any wire ive ever heard.

Wire started off punk, and later moved into the more pop-based areas like a lot of their generation did (Damned, Siouxsie, etc.). Their late '90's/early 2000's material is a great sort-of combination of the two with a hard edge. Their most recent album from 2008 I think was somewhat similar to the Wire as heard above. I respect bands that don't stay in the exact same place for years and experiment with different things, although of course there are exceptions (some bands always cut it with the same basic style) and some experiments are not successful. Wire I have a great deal of respect for; I always like their work no matter what they're doing with the sound.

By the way, if anyone likes DP, what songs should I listen to from anything post RBG. I've heard a couple of songs and to tell the truth, I don't really like them. I think I just don't like that green lantern guy, I'm not really sure. I was really looking forward to the new stuff before it came out, and when I heard it, I was disappointed. Am I missing something?

Death was superb...especially "Human". Love that album. "Leprosy" too...all of them really but those two I listened to more than the others.
I'm not a Priest fan so to speak, they're all right. "Jugulator" today was the first I'd put them on in a good while. Interesting track though, if you listened to it there was some notably tasty playing (and some basic playing as well, I know). That particular album was one with Ripper Owens, not Halford, and some tracks went into near-death metal territory. Not bad.
