So I've been a vegetarian for about five months now, and I'm noticing that I'm still lacking in energy to do anything. Either is this hormones or I need to step up on my energy intake.

Anything I can do to get energy fast?

I'm not a vegetarian myself, but meat is not my main source of calorie intake most of the time. You could try to measure the amount of calories you eat in a day, maybe you have some busy days and you skip meals? Or maybe you have some sort of mineral or vitamin deficiencies, such as iron or B12, due to the lack of meat in you diet? Do you take any supplements?

I take supplements and I do eat eggs, it just seems like I'm low on energy all the time. Tea helps, but it doesn't get me the buzz required to feel normal. I don't really eat meals, I just snack on food throughout the day whenever I feel hungry ( nuts, fruit, celery, ect )

Did you have proper meals before being a vegetarian? Do your supplements have B12 and iron?

Go ask your doctor and not some random people on the internet.

I was a veggie for about 6 months, no matter how much fruit, veg and supplements I took I was still always as tired as fuck and just didn't feel good after all. My only solution; GET SOME DEAD COW IN YOU

It depends from person to person. Personally I'm a lot fitter and healthier now then when I still ate meat, but that's also because I'm alot more active now.

Start eating normal meals instead of eating through the day.

Eat more energetic food like eggs, sugar, or chocolate.

Atleast that's what I'd do, besides starting to eat meat again :o

I'm not a vegetarian (I love meat and fish), but if you take protein shakes and eat a lot of carbs, you shouldn't be low on energy.

Im vegan, Ive been vegetarian all my life. I also play Ice hockey for my University and go to the gym every other day so i need a lot of energy. Generally I get it through carbo loading, so I eat a lot of pasta, and a lot of rice. For pasta meals i usually have a pasta sauce with say protein, and with rice i usually either make a soy protein a 3 bean chilli or stirfy and tofu. If you need fast energy then bananas are good.

A peanut butter sandwich could work too. Whole wheat bread has the fiber and complex carbs, the peanut butter has the protein , and good fats as well.

I would skip the jelly as it is just useless sugar. Personally, I prefer natural peanut butter but that would involve a lot of stirring. But once you learn how to stir it, it tastes good enough.

Smart Balance has good PB. That's what I normally use. Natural PB tastes great (but geesh, it's kinda expensive, at least where I live. I'll learn how to make my own at some point, lol), but Smart Balance is very healthy as well.

Yeah it's either eat normal or do drugs. Meat or meth... pick your poison. lol

Isn't it carbs that give you energy? Try some tomato sandwiches.
