I think it's safe to say there will no longer be any democratic oversight. I'm not comfortable posting the entire story here, there's a lot of factors to it and I don't want to piss off the wrong people while things are still so shaky and tensions are so high. Malte was right about one thing, this is a time for change on revleft.

I guess the difference now is that the administration has actually closed the CC. That's a big difference from the previous times this has happened.

If it were up to just Malte and the admin/mod board, in the past they probably would have disbanded and probably also banned/restricted the Hoxhaist Union members. While there was qualms about that little group (which did lead to a few of their members getting banned or restricted; but not all), in the end they weren't no big deal or threat to the forum's environment.
